Working with PRE-OP/PACU  and OR Nursing Staff to provide excellent patient care.  Will be responsible for transferring and escorting patients and family to and from the PRE-OP/PACU area, providing nutrition for post-operative patients and preparing PRE_OP/PACU area for new patients. Pagosa Springs Medical Center has an immediate opening for a Pre-Op/PACU/Speciality Clinic RN (PRN) Job Duties: The PRE-OP/PACU nurse utilizes the nursing process to identify patient needs for continuous assessment in the PACU. The RN will document and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing actions and ensure a safe environment of care. The PRE-OP/PACU nurse is responsible and accountable for working with other departments to ensure continuity of care.  Works as a team member for the surgical department. Pagosa Springs Medical Center has an immediate opening for a Certified Surgical Tech - Job Duties:  Prepares for surgical procedures by setting up the operating room; organizing sterile table with surgical instruments and equipment, sterile linens, and sterile solutions. Helps the Sterile Processing Technician with the responsibilities of performing sterilization practices for the surgery department  including, but not limited to, sterilizing all instruments, maintaining sterilizations logs, preparing surgical trays, etc.  Keeps equipment operating by checking and adjusting sterilizers, lights, suction machines, electrosurgical units, and diagnostic equipment.  Anticipates the needs of the surgeon by passing instruments; providing sterile items; holding retractors, cutting sutures, and applying dressings.  Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations.  Enhances surgery department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Pagosa Springs Medical Center Lab is looking for a full time Lab Phlebotomist. Duties include blood collection from patients, some waived standard biological, microbiological and chemical tests in all areas of the medical laboratory.  Works under direct technical supervision and performs waived complexity tests in accordance with standards established in the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and/or appropriate agency protocol (COLA).  Records and participates in evaluation of Quality Control for tests conducted. Hours are Monday through Friday 6:00am to 3:00pm. The Business Office Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of all hospital revenue cycle functions including training new staff, setting accounts receivable performance goals and reporting on those goals. The Manager will provide leadership and support to staff. The successful candidate will have five years experience as a supervisor, manager or director of a hospital Business Office, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and Medicare, Medicaid and electronic billing knowledge.
